As we approach Pluto’s entrance into Aquarius it’s a great time to remember that sharing knowledge is powerful.
Aquarius is compassionate connection, it takes a village, we’re all in this together.
Pluto entering Aquarius brings increased opportunities to become more powerful and transformative when we all contribute and learn from each other.
Together we create the opportunity for alchemy.
Pluto will soon enter Aquarius increasing the opportunities to build more powerful connections and to transform our lives and the world we co-create.

I love when other astrologers are able to learn something from me and incorporate it into their readings.
Even if your clients find their way to my page, that doesn’t take away from you and what you can do for them. Just the opposite. It could draw them even more to you if they value who you.
I want to help each of you learn astrology, whether it’s just for your use or to help you with your professional metaphysical practice.
Believe in yourself, experience the value of your intuition, and embrace your personal power of choice. 💫🤎
Pluto is the higher octave of Mars. Mars is your physicality and desire. Pluto is your life force, your drive to survive, your choice to live. Pluto is your base of power, your ability to choose and transform. Pluto is creation and destruction, the phoenix rising from the ashes.

When Pluto forms an aspect to another piece in your chart, the energies interact within you and impact how you feel empowered. Pluto may show control issues, obsessions, beliefs in transformation and your decisiveness.
Conjunctions form unified systems. The energies fuse and you don’t distinguish between them. You confuse them and think they are the same.
Venus conjunct Pluto believes love is something to die for. If you love me, you’ll die for me. Love and beauty are power. Love can transform you.
Squares are forced awareness. The energies are constantly stimulating each other, each forcing an awareness of the other.
Moon square Pluto hungers for control. Emotions are often intensified, and they have a deep need to feel they have a choice. Their mother was most likely controlling and they may have an enmeshed or codependent relationship with her.
Trines are a harmonic flow. The energies are distinct, though you easily connect them.
Sun trine Pluto generally believes they are in the driver seat of their life. They are generally able to make decisions, though they can feel very unstable if they aren’t able to choose. Their personal empowerment feeds their sense of who they are and will feel out of it if they aren’t able to choose, or are somehow disempowered.
Oppositions show separation where you don’t know how to get from one to the other. Each makes the other seem impossible.
Saturn opposite Pluto is someone that struggles with responsible choices. Their sense of responsibility makes them feel as if they have no choice and pursuing that which makes them feel powerful makes them feel irresponsible.
Sextiles are opportunities to create flow. There is a connection that can be nourished into a deeper, more fluid connection.
Mercury sextile Pluto believes communication and logic opens up options. Thinking rationally opens up possibilities. Taking or writing can be empowering.
Quincunx is the neutralizer. It shows deeply held beliefs about how each part can shut down the other. They are subtle to observe but deeply felt.
Jupiter quincunx Pluto struggles with being in integrity and personal power at the same time. They may blurt out the truth in a way that sabotages their options. They may make choices that feel cynical, because they struggle to have faith while feeling empowered.
Aspects are angular relationships between pieces in the chart. The orb of an aspect is how close the pieces have to be for the aspect to form. It’s the plus or minus part, since most aspects aren’t exact. I use a 7 degree orb for conjunction, square, trine, opposition and 3 degrees for sextile and quincunx.
Aspects show up in your natal chart to illustrate patterns of beliefs formed in other lives. These patterns are formed by repeated experiences. They show what you came in believing. They show talents, struggles and lessons.
Aspects do not doom you or seal your fate. Difficult aspects show lessons. Your soul took on these lessons to grow and the universe has your back. By owning who you are and being willing to see life and yourself differently, there is no impossible lesson.
Squares, quincunx and oppositions show beliefs you brought in, but do not condemn you to a life of struggle. They are also beacons showing you where you can heal.
Trines and sextiles show talents and strengths, but these need to be nurtured or they can be parts of yourself you neglect, take for granted and the connections break down.
Conjunctions show how you’ve fused parts of yourself. Those fusions can offer great strength, as well as confuse you into thinking they are the same thing when they really are not. Awareness of how they work together can help you understand how to use them to your advantage.
Okay so we’ve got this gorgeous square between retrograde Mercury and Uranus, sun and Pluto are conjunct … I want to share something I do periodically, especially during transits really invite us to make decisions and mentally cleaning house.
Close your eyes, take 3 slow deep breaths, then make a list on paper (not electronically) of all the projects, ideas to explore, stuff you’ve been meaning to do, stuff you should do etc.
Include everything.
Learn a new language, clean out the frig, read more to your kids, have that difficult talk with your neighbor, eat healthier, exercise, clean out your desk, clean out the pics on your phone, paint the bathroom …
List ALL of it. All the stuff running through your head that you need to be doing.
Once you’ve gotten it all down, do 3 more slow deep breaths and review the list.
First, circle anything that supports your well being. We’ll come back to those at the end.
Next, cross off everything you don’t really want to do, stuff you feel obligated or pressured to do. You can revisit each later if you ever want to do so, but for now you don’t want to it so cross it off. These things get no more of your daily mental energy.
Next, cross off things you do want to do, but now is not the time. If it isn’t something you have actual plans to start or do in the next few weeks, cross it off. Doing so doesn’t mean you will never do it, now is not the time. These things get no more of your daily mental energy.
Look at everything that isn’t circled or crossed off and ask yourself how important each is to you right now. Today. Does it soothe your soul, bring you joy or exquisite pleasure, energize you, amplify love in your life? If so, circle it. If not, cross it off.
Now look at the circled items. If the list of circled items feels overwhelming, cross some more off. This isn’t a list for your whole life, this is a list for your life now and you can only do so much now.
Once you have it narrowed down to a few things, do three more slow deep breaths and consciously choose to do them, then cross them off as well, because they are now part of your daily life and no longer require you to contemplate doing them.
You may not eat perfectly healthy every day, but you’ve decided to make it part of your daily life. So do it and if you have an off day, eat better the next snd move on. Maybe you don’t read to your kids every night, but do your best and when you miss a night, get back to it.
The point here is to stop thinking about all these things you believe could improve your life and just start doing some of them that fit your life now.
It’s incredible how freeing, light, productive and energized we become when we clear the mental to do list we’ve got running in the background on a loop.
If you have something at 24 Capricorn (or within a few degrees) in your natal chart Pluto has been transiting it for a few months now. Have you felt the invitation?
Transits are what outside energy will or won’t do for you. If you’re open to this transit, there is a huge amount of support for you to work with the energy Pluto is touching. It’s time to dig deeper into understanding this part of yourself, to understand your choices, to release and transform.
Smoky Quartz
It may not always feel like an easy opportunity, but it is empowering. The universe isn’t cruel and doesn’t toy with you. The more open you are to making a shift, the more it feels like an opportunity.
Transiting Pluto touching your Jupiter, what an incredible opportunity to be empowered by facing the truth about yourself and drawing strength from your integrity and willingness to share your truth. If it’s touching your Mercury, you understand more clearly the power of your words and the transformation available through communication.
When transiting Pluto lands on anything in your natal chart, it’s an invitation to feel more empowered through that part of yourself.
Pluto will at 24 degrees of Capricorn for a few more months. It goes to 25 degrees in December. Transits with outer planets last longer, because they take longer to advance through the zodiac (they take longer to complete a revolution around the sun).
Do you ever associate crystals with particular people in your life? When I do, it gives me a deeper personal connection with the crystal, and makes me curious to see if that crystal is reflected in their natal chart.
If my mom were a crystal she’d be a rose quartz. She was unconditional love. 💗Everyone that met her felt it and loved her.
In astrology, Venus is human love. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and is unconditional love. Rose quartz is often associated with Venus, and Mom had Venus at a karmic degree conjunct her north node (life’s purpose) and both made a trine to Neptune. Mom was rose quartz.
rose quartz, smoky quartz, clear quartz
If my dad were a crystal he’d be a smoky quartz. 🖤 He had a horrific childhood, and it’s stunning to me that he was able to be the man he was given the life he had growing up. Though Dad had his inner demons and flaws, he embodied transmuting and moving on from pain and negativity.
In astrology, Pluto is our capacity for transformation. It’s our ability to perceive we have a choice, and to align ourselves with divine will. Dad had strong Pluto aspects and his sun was at a karmic degree in Scorpio. Dad was smoky quartz.
When you dig into every metaphysical tool, you find overlap between all of them. Funny how that oracle card you keep pulling lines up with an astrology transit touching your natal chart or a crystal you just had to have. It’s all connected, different languages saying the same thing.
My fluency happens to be in astrology. When clients ask me about what crystals they need, I talk with them about intention and what kinds of lessons and opportunities seem most important to them now and then send them to my favorite crystal sellers.
There are so many amazing options. Something like 2000 or so different minerals have been discovered, and then there’s raw, polished, carved, clusters, and we’re often drawn to particular ones during different times in our lives. So, I suggest they ask the seller for recommendations based on what we discussed. Even more importantly, when you’re looking at shop listings or you’re in a live sale, go with what gives you that ping! The ping knows.
Is there a crystal that you feel expresses either your essence or someone you know? Tell me about it.
Just after midnight on January 13th we have our first new moon of this new year. It’s in Capricorn and it comes with a Pluto conjunction.
This is a big one.
We are being asked to own our choices and our true intentions behind them, to remember that we always have a choice, to own our responsibility for our choices, for our own healing and our responsibilities to each other. And if that wasn’t enough, to know deep down that we can transform our lives no matter the circumstances, even random ones.
It’s a lot.
I’m guessing you’ve experienced serendipity, those beautiful moments when things just seem to workout in this oddly unexpected way. You may believe when that happens that everything happens for a reason.
I don’t. I’m going to tell you the three big things that I believe drive our experiences.
First, the more we live in alignment with our intuition, our highest good … when we surrender and let our soul guide us through life, the more of these serendipitous moments we have. We get into a flow and life feels easier. We don’t always see how things will work out at the time, but we follow that inner guidance and eventually see how it all comes together.
Second, there’s a randomness to this life. Sometimes circumstances fall in our favor and sometimes they don’t. Part of this randomness is our human experience and we are here to learn that we can transcend what happens here. We are bigger than any human experience and we can create meaningful transformation no matter what happens.
I don’t like the saying that everything happens for a reason, because it implies we’re not really responsible for anything. So what if there’s poverty or social injustice, everything happens for a reason, so those people must need to learn something. I also don’t believe that the universe is cruel. I would never tell parents that their child was raped and murdered so they could learn something. What lessons is worth the cost of that tuition?
So what about karma? Maybe you think that’s the reason behind the serendipity and tragic experiences of life.
So third, the beliefs and experiences you bring into this life do drive what you believe and your thoughts do create your reality. The energy of your thoughts causes you to see things the way you believe them to be and attracts to you what matches your beliefs. I get that. I mean I do karmic astrology.
The thing is, karma is not about punishment and rewards, it’s about cause and effect. You do something and that causes a reaction. You believe it’s okay to hurt others and then find yourself on the victim side of an experience where someone hurts you. After all, you believe it’s okay to hurt others. There is a connection between what we believe and what shows up in our life.
So here’s what I want you to really consider …
Your deepest responsibility and the most powerful choice you can make is to both wholly own that you are responsible for your life and the choices you make AND at the same time, turn control of your life over to your soul, your higher self.
When you do this, you maximize the likelihood you will experience the serendipity of life working out. You are more able to transform the heartbreak in life and you are more able you to transcend your karma. The merry go round of cause and effect is always spinning, but you have the ability to jump off.
When you own the source of your pain and heal your wounds, your belief changes and the karma is done.
So yes, life works better when we follow our intuition and ride the current of the divine. Things fall into place more easily and life is more abundant. Listening to that inner guidance improves your life. It can become a waste of energy though
to micro analyze everything or beat yourself up if something happens in life that isn’t good. Learn what you can, accept what is and move on to creating the transformation you need, because while there is a random element to life here how we handle it and get back on track is up to us.
Being open to transformation is our responsibility.
The secret to my eternal optimism isn’t that I believe every outcome is always going to be good. I’m not an “it’s all good” kind of person. My secret is that I know with certainty that everything can be transcended. Everything.
So during this new moon in Capricorn, be open to owning your choices and when making them, consider surrendering to what you know deep down is the best choice. Even if you don’t fully understand it. It’s actually very practical to follow the path your soul nudges you towards. It’s more efficient. It works better. And that is part of the beauty of Capricorn, allowing our divine self to be expressed through our human existence.
The higher octave planets are Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The planets represent energies in the chart, so think of these higher octaves as higher vibrations of the three personal planets they connect to, namely Mercury, Venus and Mars.
Mercury is the rational mind, how we communicate via language. It’s what we believe makes sense. Mercury can show how we learn, how we take in information, how we process information. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury and it is the “ah ha” within it is. Uranus is the moment of discovery, our ability to see the connection between seemingly unconnected things. It is the stroke of genius that brings information together and forms something new – discovery, invention, innovation. Uranus is also how we differentiate ourselves, our sense of individuality. It is how we experience and express our uniqueness while staying connected to the whole, to the universe, to each other.
Venus is our value system. It’s how we give and receive love. It’s what we prioritize, what we value, what we are able and willing to love. It’s how we perceive beauty. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and it is our ability to be love. It is our intuition, our compassion, our ability to empathize, to feel what others feel. Neptune is our creative energy and is visionary, dreamy, and our need to save and rescue. Neptune is transcendent love and a conduit for the soul’s expression in this life.
Mars is our vitality. It is our ambition, sex drive, physical energy. Mars is the energy that drives us to action. It relates to our body, how we move physically as well as the actions we take in the world. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and is our will. It is our ability to perceive we have a choice. Pluto is about control, empowerment and transformation and our willingness and ability to surrender to a deeper wisdom that can guide our actions. Pluto is the phoenix that is reborn from the ashes. The soul expresses divine will through Pluto.
When looking at Mercury, Venus, and Mars in a chart always look at their higher octaves. Doing so will give you a deeper view of the energy. Pay attention to aspects formed between these personal planets and their higher octave. Look at how the energies may be working together or at odds and you will have insight into strength and struggles in the chart.
