If you have something at 24 Capricorn (or within a few degrees) in your natal chart Pluto has been transiting it for a few months now. Have you felt the invitation?
Transits are what outside energy will or won’t do for you. If you’re open to this transit, there is a huge amount of support for you to work with the energy Pluto is touching. It’s time to dig deeper into understanding this part of yourself, to understand your choices, to release and transform.
Smoky Quartz
It may not always feel like an easy opportunity, but it is empowering. The universe isn’t cruel and doesn’t toy with you. The more open you are to making a shift, the more it feels like an opportunity.
Transiting Pluto touching your Jupiter, what an incredible opportunity to be empowered by facing the truth about yourself and drawing strength from your integrity and willingness to share your truth. If it’s touching your Mercury, you understand more clearly the power of your words and the transformation available through communication.
When transiting Pluto lands on anything in your natal chart, it’s an invitation to feel more empowered through that part of yourself.
Pluto will at 24 degrees of Capricorn for a few more months. It goes to 25 degrees in December. Transits with outer planets last longer, because they take longer to advance through the zodiac (they take longer to complete a revolution around the sun).
Mars has been opposing Jupiter and is now at 0 degrees of Virgo. Zero is about potential, restarts and reopening the capacity for choice with the energy.
If you’ve been stuck, unable to move forward in some way because you feel life isn’t fair, or you’re still angry because someone treated you unfairly, it’s time for a reboot.
What you are likely struggling with is the meaning you assigned to what happened. You’ve made it deeply personal and that’s what’s holding you back.
Shit happens. People do shitty things out of fear, ignorance, insecurity and lots of other reasons that have nothing to do with YOU. Yet the thing that keeps eating at you is the meaning you assigned to what they did or what happened.
What stories eat away at you? When have you felt so wronged you still fill with righteous indignation every time you think about it? What are your victim stories? Most likely they touched a wound that was already there.
Yes, hold people accountable for their actions. Speak up. Set boundaries. Do what you need to do to deal with what happened in the healthiest possible way
AND
choose to see things differently. See them more deeply. Instead of continuing to focus on how you were wronged, look at the deeper wound that was touched. The one you already had and heal that. Your healing isn’t dependent on fairness or retribution. It’s moving through what is outside of you and coming back to what you carry inside of you.
You are valuable. You are worthy of goodness. You are lovable. You deserve gentleness, and kindness. You are entitled to a fulfilling, joyful life.
It’s tempting to stay stuck on what someone said or did. Righteousness is intoxicating and gives us the illusion of feeling powerful, but that’s not where our power resides. The real power is when we let go of needing to be right and embrace a deeper faith in ourselves. When we do, we trust ourselves to heal and we trust our soul to guide us to heal and we in fact do heal and when we heal, we open ourselves to all that we truly are and then we are powerful and unstoppable.
We go after what our soul urges us towards. We are passionate about things that improve our lives and contribute love to the world and we have the energy and direction to go after them.
Speed is the rate something is moving along a path, whereas velocity is rate with direction. We can spin our wheels moving fast and go no where. When we are in alignment with our highest good, we have direction.
Even if it feels scary or unpleasant, consider taking a deeper look at one of the injustice stories you carry with you. Healing it, even a little, can shift your energy and get you moving in ways that don’t seem obvious now, but will once you get moving.
Uranus is currently square Saturn 🪐 both at 13 degrees. Squares are forced awareness, so we have our individuality and sense of connection forcing awareness of our need for structure, boundaries and timing. Be yourself. 💫💜 When you try to be different and choose not to like or enjoy something because it’s ordinary, common etc., you aren’t being your unique self. You’re craving external validation that you’re unique. You have nothing to prove. No one else is the combination of everything that is YOU ❤️💥 It can be boring and tedious to be around people that try so hard to make you think they are special. More importantly, you’re investing your energy into creating an image for others instead of reveling in who you are. People that just express who they are 🌀 regardless of how strange or ordinary the expression are vibrant and fascinating. Somehow they make even their ordinary parts feel unexpected, because of how everything combines together. You sparkle most 🌟 when you equally don’t care if people think you’re weird or ordinary. Just do you. It’s about as soulful as it gets.
Venus is how we give and receive love and rules every way in which we assign value. Venus opposes Mars early in the month, then continues with a series of squares to Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn and ends with an opposition to Uranus. All these challenging aspects to Venus urge us to get clear about our priorities and to ask ourselves what really matters to us.
So this month, intention is everything.
While transits are experienced most strongly if they touch your natal chart, there is such a strong theme this month, it feels like most people will feel this in some way.
These Venus transits are challenging us to become fully aware of our priorities and intentions. The confrontations we may experience this month are opportunities to learn why we may put a lot of energy into something and not get what we want, or when we get it feel as though it doesn’t fulfill us as the way we thought it would. We are facing ways we believe life isn’t fair, where we believe our choices are limited or non-existent, we are seeing how relationships may be out of balance and how we have isolated ourselves from people and things we love.
Our intentions can dominate our experiences and often override the stories we tell ourselves and the actions we take in the world. One example I use often is this: imagine that you are doing a favor for someone, but you feel so put out by it and resentful while doing it that instead of the person feeling helped or supported by you they feel awful. They feel like a burden, like they are worthless or helpless and wish they hadn’t asked you or you hadn’t offered. What you do for them may even fall apart and end up not being that helpful. Chances are you told yourself that you wanted to help, and some part of you did, but it was a cover story for your deeper intention that came from a place of guilt, obligation or something other than the pure desire to help.
This month, Venus is pulling back the curtain and showing us what we truly value and who is really there for us. We are seeing where love is in our lives, what we value, and where we actually want to be, what we want to do, and how we derive our worth.
We’re also revisiting balance in relationships and seeing where they may be one-sided. This includes both relationships where we do not ask for enough and where we give little of ourselves.
We are being challenged to be honest about what we really value so that we stop putting our energy into what we tell ourselves is important, and instead focus on what and who we truly love.
Some of this may not be easy, but facing it is worth it.
It’s worth taking the time to get a pair of shoes that really fit your feet. You can quickly buy a pair that look good and you tell yourself will work, but your feet won’t participate in the lie. The shoes may work out okay for a short time, but eventually your feet will feel the pain of your choice and make you regret buying them.
Denial always has an expiration date.
This month Venus is urging you to be honest with yourself about what matters to you. If there is any area in your life where you are pretending that something or someone is in alignment with your values, but is not, you’ll feel the friction and it will be a bit harder to pretend.
The good news is that the pain of disappointment or fear that you may feel opens the door to more of what you really love. You gain the focus and willingness you need to bring more of what you love into your life.
Full moons are a fantastic opportunity for you to release what is not in alignment with your highest good and this coming full moon is a particularly incredible opportunity to do this. The emphasis of this one is transformation and universal connection. It’s going to be epic.
Transits are always about what outside energy will or won’t do for you. Think of them as opportunities. They are never your only chance to do something, but they are opportunities where the universe is providing an extra energetic boost.
A full moon is when the sun and moon are exactly opposite each other. When they are in this state of reflection, it’s a particularly good time to take a good long look at yourself and see what is not working for you. It’s not about criticizing yourself. It’s about looking at who you are, what you need, and facing the truth about what in your life is supporting you to be your best self, and what is not.
On Saturday, 31 October 2020 at 10:49am ET, we’ll have the sun at 8 degrees of Scorpio exactly opposite the moon at 8 degrees of Taurus. Scorpio is in the sign most associated with transformation, and both sun and moon are at the degree most associated with transformation. If that wasn’t enough, the moon will be exactly conjunct Uranus at 8 degrees of Taurus. Uranus is a lightening bolt. It’s inspiration, realization, change that can seem sudden and universal connection.
One more thing, this full is also a blue moon. Next one will be in August 2023.
So what does all this really mean?
Given that the moon will be in Taurus, this feels like a time to transform your self-care. Venus enters Libra a few days before and will be making a quincunx with the moon before its exact opposition. It feels like we are being nudged to re-evaluate our priorities, to be honest with ourselves regarding how we allow others to impact our self-worth and to take responsibility for when we gravitate towards people that tell us what we want to hear.
The gentle loving bubble bath self-care is always of value, but the self-care here is much deeper. This full moon is an opportunity to dig deep into what serves you and to let go of what does not. There is a strong vibe of choice and trusting yourself with this full moon, both owning your choices and being willing to trust yourself to make bold new ones.
What you may choose could surprise you or others around you. I promise you though, it will not “come out of the blue.” Instead, this is a time to let yourself dig deep and bring to the surface the choices you’ve been wanting to make for a long time.
Let go of something big. Let go of something that drains you. Let go of something you don’t want regardless of who gave it to you, or what it cost you (financially or energetically). Let go of regret, of feeling powerless, of thinking you’re a victim, of feeling you can’t change. Absolutely let go of some old criticism you keep repeating to yourself.
How do you do make use of this cosmic gift?
Open your heart. Plug into the universal connection that is always available to you and make a conscious decision to be willing to see things differently. Some time before Saturday, take a shower and allow your mind and heart be open to what you need to release now. As the water runs over you, be open to knowing what you need to release. What you come to know could include taking some sort of action, or it may be more of an internal release of thoughts and feelings or both. Make a commitment to yourself that you will let go.
On or before Saturday, take some action, even a small one, to affirm your choice. It can be as simple as telling someone, doing something kind for yourself or actually getting rid of a physical object. The point is to take some action that is in alignment with this choice you have made.
Thoughts + action = real change.
Some suggestions if you work with affirmations:
I embrace change.
I release all that does not serve my highest good.
Transits show what outside energies will or won’t do for us. They affect us most when they connect to or trigger pieces in our natal or progressed charts.
Think about dramatic world events, they do not have the same impact on everyone.
This can be a great time for you to re-evaluate how and where you spend your energy.
Are you pouring energy into things that no longer matter to you?
Do you feel like you can’t stop investing your energy in something or someone, because you believe it will mean you wasted all the previous effort?
Are you ignoring what matters to you now?
Mars is your vitality, physicality, sexuality, ambitions, life force …
This is an amazing time to honestly re-evaluate how and where you express your energy through all areas of life, especially the areas Mars connects with in your chart. Consider everything …
⭐️ your presence, where you show up
⭐️ your money and resources
⭐️ how you communicate
⭐️ repetitive thoughts
⭐️ how you spend your time
⭐️ how you care for yourself and others
⭐️ causes that matter to you
⭐️ what you read, who you hang out with
⭐️ who you follow on social media
Put your energy into the life you want.
Ride the Mars energy wave and your life can accelerate in the direction you want.
Your natal chart shows the beliefs and relevant past life experiences that you bring into this life. A progressed chart shows you the kinds of opportunities and growth cycles you are bringing into your life now. Transits show you how your environment and energies outside of you impact you. The astrologer I studied with always said “it’s what outside energies will or won’t do for you.”
Saturn is transiting through Capricorn and will continue there for the next couple of years. Looking at the house(s) it is moving through in your natal chart can give you insight into what areas of your life you will restructure, build new resilience, and feel most impacted by the support or lack of support of others. Longstanding parts of your life will be challenged, and new things will form that will last a long time. Your limits will be tested in these areas. Limiting beliefs can be released and and healthy limits can be built.
Transits are rarely easy. They bring challenges, lessons and opportunities. The more open we are though, the more productive they are for us. Take a look at your chart and see where Saturn is activating your life and consider what kind of restructuring it might need, what kinds of limiting beliefs you may hold, or what kinds of limits you may need in your life.
