Mars is Desire

Mars is our vitality. It’s the energy of passion. Mars gets us to take action.

When you are ignoring or suppressing your Mars, you may find yourself focusing on what other people are doing versus putting your energy into going after what you want.

If you find yourself feeling chronically annoyed, that could be a sign that your Mars feels stuck.

If you keep thinking about how someone else should or shouldn’t be living some part of their life, that could be your inner self screaming for you to pay attention to your own desires.

The essence of Mars is desire and passion. Mars is what you want. It’s your ability to be thrilled and excited. It’s the energy of your physical body, and it’s what moves you to action.

From Instagram

Clear expression of Mars includes feeling energized and taking inspired action. If you believe your Mars is stuck or could use a boost, look at how it’s placed in your natal chart and consider how you can support it.

🤎 If you’re feeling that chronic annoyance, ask yourself what you’re not tending to in your life. If you keep thinking about what someone else is doing wrong, be open to seeing what you need to do differently.

🤎 Your Mercury, Venus and Mars are about your personal human experience. Up level your life by healing your mindset (Mercury) owning your priorities (Venus) and are being willing to take action (Mars) that moves you into the natural flow of life.

🤎 If you’re struggling to glean something from your chart, remember that you have a direct line to your soul without it. You can get all your answers from the source of you 24/7. Nurture that inner dialogue.

When life doesn’t seem fair

Mars has been opposing Jupiter and is now at 0 degrees of Virgo. Zero is about potential, restarts and reopening the capacity for choice with the energy.

If you’ve been stuck, unable to move forward in some way because you feel life isn’t fair, or you’re still angry because someone treated you unfairly, it’s time for a reboot.

What you are likely struggling with is the meaning you assigned to what happened. You’ve made it deeply personal and that’s what’s holding you back.

Shit happens. People do shitty things out of fear, ignorance, insecurity and lots of other reasons that have nothing to do with YOU. Yet the thing that keeps eating at you is the meaning you assigned to what they did or what happened.

What stories eat away at you? When have you felt so wronged you still fill with righteous indignation every time you think about it? What are your victim stories? Most likely they touched a wound that was already there.

Yes, hold people accountable for their actions. Speak up. Set boundaries. Do what you need to do to deal with what happened in the healthiest possible way

AND

choose to see things differently. See them more deeply. Instead of continuing to focus on how you were wronged, look at the deeper wound that was touched. The one you already had and heal that. Your healing isn’t dependent on fairness or retribution. It’s moving through what is outside of you and coming back to what you carry inside of you.

You are valuable. You are worthy of goodness. You are lovable. You deserve gentleness, and kindness. You are entitled to a fulfilling, joyful life.

It’s tempting to stay stuck on what someone said or did. Righteousness is intoxicating and gives us the illusion of feeling powerful, but that’s not where our power resides. The real power is when we let go of needing to be right and embrace a deeper faith in ourselves. When we do, we trust ourselves to heal and we trust our soul to guide us to heal and we in fact do heal and when we heal, we open ourselves to all that we truly are and then we are powerful and unstoppable.

We go after what our soul urges us towards. We are passionate about things that improve our lives and contribute love to the world and we have the energy and direction to go after them.

Speed is the rate something is moving along a path, whereas velocity is rate with direction. We can spin our wheels moving fast and go no where. When we are in alignment with our highest good, we have direction.

Even if it feels scary or unpleasant, consider taking a deeper look at one of the injustice stories you carry with you. Healing it, even a little, can shift your energy and get you moving in ways that don’t seem obvious now, but will once you get moving.

Transiting Mars in Aries

Someone asked me about transiting Mars in Aries.

Mars is at home in Aries

Transits show what outside energies will or won’t do for us. They affect us most when they connect to or trigger pieces in our natal or progressed charts.

Think about dramatic world events, they do not have the same impact on everyone.

This can be a great time for you to re-evaluate how and where you spend your energy.

Are you pouring energy into things that no longer matter to you?

Do you feel like you can’t stop investing your energy in something or someone, because you believe it will mean you wasted all the previous effort?

Are you ignoring what matters to you now?

Mars is your vitality, physicality, sexuality, ambitions, life force …

This is an amazing time to honestly re-evaluate how and where you express your energy through all areas of life, especially the areas Mars connects with in your chart. Consider everything …

⭐️ your presence, where you show up

⭐️ your money and resources

⭐️ how you communicate

⭐️ repetitive thoughts

⭐️ how you spend your time

⭐️ how you care for yourself and others

⭐️ causes that matter to you

⭐️ what you read, who you hang out with

⭐️ who you follow on social media

Put your energy into the life you want.

Ride the Mars energy wave and your life can accelerate in the direction you want.

Higher Octave Planets

Time to dust off this blog!

The higher octave planets are Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The planets represent energies in the chart, so think of these higher octaves as higher vibrations of the three personal planets they connect to, namely Mercury, Venus and Mars.

Mercury is the rational mind, how we communicate via language. It’s what we believe makes sense. Mercury can show how we learn, how we take in information, how we process information. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury and it is the “ah ha” within it is. Uranus is the moment of discovery, our ability to see the connection between seemingly unconnected things. It is the stroke of genius that brings information together and forms something new – discovery, invention, innovation. Uranus is also how we differentiate ourselves, our sense of individuality. It is how we experience and express our uniqueness while staying connected to the whole, to the universe, to each other.

Venus is our value system. It’s how we give and receive love. It’s what we prioritize, what we value, what we are able and willing to love. It’s how we perceive beauty. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and it is our ability to be love. It is our intuition, our compassion, our ability to empathize, to feel what others feel. Neptune is our creative energy and is visionary, dreamy, and our need to save and rescue. Neptune is transcendent love and a conduit for the soul’s expression in this life.

Mars is our vitality. It is our ambition, sex drive, physical energy. Mars is the energy that drives us to action. It relates to our body, how we move physically as well as the actions we take in the world. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and is our will. It is our ability to perceive we have a choice. Pluto is about control, empowerment and transformation and our willingness and ability to surrender to a deeper wisdom that can guide our actions. Pluto is the phoenix that is reborn from the ashes. The soul expresses divine will through Pluto.

When looking at Mercury, Venus, and Mars in a chart always look at their higher octaves. Doing so will give you a deeper view of the energy. Pay attention to aspects formed between these personal planets and their higher octave. Look at how the energies may be working together or at odds and you will have insight into strength and struggles in the chart.

I am considering starting a podcast in 2017. If you would like to join me in the podcast and discuss some of your chart with you, email me at Lisa@karmicastrology.com.
