If you have something at 24 Capricorn (or within a few degrees) in your natal chart Pluto has been transiting it for a few months now. Have you felt the invitation?
Transits are what outside energy will or won’t do for you. If you’re open to this transit, there is a huge amount of support for you to work with the energy Pluto is touching. It’s time to dig deeper into understanding this part of yourself, to understand your choices, to release and transform.
Smoky Quartz
It may not always feel like an easy opportunity, but it is empowering. The universe isn’t cruel and doesn’t toy with you. The more open you are to making a shift, the more it feels like an opportunity.
Transiting Pluto touching your Jupiter, what an incredible opportunity to be empowered by facing the truth about yourself and drawing strength from your integrity and willingness to share your truth. If it’s touching your Mercury, you understand more clearly the power of your words and the transformation available through communication.
When transiting Pluto lands on anything in your natal chart, it’s an invitation to feel more empowered through that part of yourself.
Pluto will at 24 degrees of Capricorn for a few more months. It goes to 25 degrees in December. Transits with outer planets last longer, because they take longer to advance through the zodiac (they take longer to complete a revolution around the sun).
The new moon is exact on 6 September 2021 at 8:52pm ET. It’s happening at 14 degrees of Virgo ♍️ and will exactly trine Uranus at 14 degrees of Taurus ♉️
What a great opportunity to surprise yourself or embrace unexpected support. Opportunities may come in ways you haven’t imagined, but have great value. Be open to seeing yourself and others differently.
New moons are excellent opportunities for emotional self-acceptance and this one may do so in an unusual way. I hope it does.
Do you ever associate crystals with particular people in your life? When I do, it gives me a deeper personal connection with the crystal, and makes me curious to see if that crystal is reflected in their natal chart.
If my mom were a crystal she’d be a rose quartz. She was unconditional love. 💗Everyone that met her felt it and loved her.
In astrology, Venus is human love. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and is unconditional love. Rose quartz is often associated with Venus, and Mom had Venus at a karmic degree conjunct her north node (life’s purpose) and both made a trine to Neptune. Mom was rose quartz.
rose quartz, smoky quartz, clear quartz
If my dad were a crystal he’d be a smoky quartz. 🖤 He had a horrific childhood, and it’s stunning to me that he was able to be the man he was given the life he had growing up. Though Dad had his inner demons and flaws, he embodied transmuting and moving on from pain and negativity.
In astrology, Pluto is our capacity for transformation. It’s our ability to perceive we have a choice, and to align ourselves with divine will. Dad had strong Pluto aspects and his sun was at a karmic degree in Scorpio. Dad was smoky quartz.
When you dig into every metaphysical tool, you find overlap between all of them. Funny how that oracle card you keep pulling lines up with an astrology transit touching your natal chart or a crystal you just had to have. It’s all connected, different languages saying the same thing.
My fluency happens to be in astrology. When clients ask me about what crystals they need, I talk with them about intention and what kinds of lessons and opportunities seem most important to them now and then send them to my favorite crystal sellers.
There are so many amazing options. Something like 2000 or so different minerals have been discovered, and then there’s raw, polished, carved, clusters, and we’re often drawn to particular ones during different times in our lives. So, I suggest they ask the seller for recommendations based on what we discussed. Even more importantly, when you’re looking at shop listings or you’re in a live sale, go with what gives you that ping! The ping knows.
Is there a crystal that you feel expresses either your essence or someone you know? Tell me about it.
This months full moon is exact on Sunday, 22 August at 8:02am ET. It’s at 29 degrees of Aquarius and Jupiter is along for the ride.
I LOVE this full moon. It feels like an invitation to look into the great cosmic mirror and see the best version of who you are. Pretty cool, right? Thing is though doing so can bring up some hard truths.
Because, if you really lean into this, you will likely face some serious self talk rooted in judging yourself. But here’s the amazing part, as you ease up on those judgments, you start to see more of what’s possible for you, and you’ll project less of those judgements out into the world so you judge others less harshly as well as yourself. Accepting yourself and accepting other people is a spiral dance, one inspires the other. They feed each other.
So the energy of this full moon feels like a launch pad. My advice is to get ready for takeoff by letting it be a time to remember the truth, remember who you really are. Notice something in you that you respect and admire and let that give you the inspiration and courage to let go of some judgment that holds you back and keeps you from realizing your aspirations.
A blue moon is the second full moon in a calendar month.
A seasonal blue moon is the third full moon of a four full moon season. Normally a season has three full moons. Every 2-3 years a season will have four and the third one is called a seasonal full moon.
A season is the period of time between a solstice and an equinox, or an equinox and a solstice. These are typically three month periods, which is why they usually have three full moons.
The next full moon is again in Aquarius and will be a seasonal full moon.
This new moon is happening exact Sunday morning 9:50am ET at 16 degrees of Leo and forms a square to Uranus.
My favorite thing about new moons is the opportunity for deeper self-acceptance that comes with a new moon. This particular one brings to mind the African Proverb: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
It comes to mind, because I feel that this new moon is asking us to take a deeper look at both how we shine on our own and how we engage with community.
Consider that we need to support the greater good while staying connected to our own joy and purpose. We need to show up for others and be open to receiving support from our communities. We each have a unique contribution to make in this world and it is amplified when we remember we are all connected.
This is a great time to ask yourself what you want to share with the world and what kind of support you need.
Mars has been opposing Jupiter and is now at 0 degrees of Virgo. Zero is about potential, restarts and reopening the capacity for choice with the energy.
If you’ve been stuck, unable to move forward in some way because you feel life isn’t fair, or you’re still angry because someone treated you unfairly, it’s time for a reboot.
What you are likely struggling with is the meaning you assigned to what happened. You’ve made it deeply personal and that’s what’s holding you back.
Shit happens. People do shitty things out of fear, ignorance, insecurity and lots of other reasons that have nothing to do with YOU. Yet the thing that keeps eating at you is the meaning you assigned to what they did or what happened.
What stories eat away at you? When have you felt so wronged you still fill with righteous indignation every time you think about it? What are your victim stories? Most likely they touched a wound that was already there.
Yes, hold people accountable for their actions. Speak up. Set boundaries. Do what you need to do to deal with what happened in the healthiest possible way
AND
choose to see things differently. See them more deeply. Instead of continuing to focus on how you were wronged, look at the deeper wound that was touched. The one you already had and heal that. Your healing isn’t dependent on fairness or retribution. It’s moving through what is outside of you and coming back to what you carry inside of you.
You are valuable. You are worthy of goodness. You are lovable. You deserve gentleness, and kindness. You are entitled to a fulfilling, joyful life.
It’s tempting to stay stuck on what someone said or did. Righteousness is intoxicating and gives us the illusion of feeling powerful, but that’s not where our power resides. The real power is when we let go of needing to be right and embrace a deeper faith in ourselves. When we do, we trust ourselves to heal and we trust our soul to guide us to heal and we in fact do heal and when we heal, we open ourselves to all that we truly are and then we are powerful and unstoppable.
We go after what our soul urges us towards. We are passionate about things that improve our lives and contribute love to the world and we have the energy and direction to go after them.
Speed is the rate something is moving along a path, whereas velocity is rate with direction. We can spin our wheels moving fast and go no where. When we are in alignment with our highest good, we have direction.
Even if it feels scary or unpleasant, consider taking a deeper look at one of the injustice stories you carry with you. Healing it, even a little, can shift your energy and get you moving in ways that don’t seem obvious now, but will once you get moving.
Full moons are cosmic mirrors, giving us opportunities to look at ourselves in new light. This Aquarian full moon is an invitation to open yourself to universal connection and community.
How do you balance your needs with what you need to contribute to the world?
Do your friends nurture or drain you?
Do you feel you need to be perfect or project a certain mage to be accepted?
Full moons invite us to look at our feelings and see the source of them, and they remind us to invest energy in what nurtures us and release what does not.
This new moon (9 July 2021 at 9:17pm ET) at 18 degrees of Cancer is square Neptune and comes with a Venus/Mars conjunction nearly in perfect parallel to the new moon. New moons are the start of the lunar cycle and are great for setting an intention and starting something. My favorite thing about them though is the opportunity they give us to deepen our self-acceptance.
Looking at the sky map for this one, it feels like this new moon is an especially good opportunity for some radical self-acceptance in the form of emotionally accepting and honoring who we really are rather than feeding the idealized image of ourselves we hold in our heads.
When we do this, when we nurture our true self, we unlock a new level of self-acceptance that propels us to our best life. The clearer we are about who we are, the more we live in alignment with our best self. We get into the flow of our highest good. Our energy is powerful and loving, and how we live reflects what we value.
Our Cancer sun is currently sextile Uranus and quincunx Saturn and I want to encourage you to let go of stuff you think you should hold on to, both big and small.
Maybe there’s a bottle of product you bought that you don’t really like. You’ve had it for so long. You keep thinking even though you don’t like it, you’ll use it up. Instead, it collects dust, takes up room, and makes you feel like you are failing when you look at it, or that you shouldn’t have bought it, or must keep it or you’re being wasteful. At some point, what you paid for it is irrelevant, because whatever the cost, keeping it is costing you more. Get rid of it.
You signed up for an online class, but are way behind in the lessons. Stacks of books are by your bedside. Your to do lists have sub lists. You keep meaning to call someone, to reorganize a closet, to learn how to do play an instrument …
Whether the stuff you feel you’ve signed up to do (or use) is connected to something you’ve bought, someone you care about it, something you think is great, or just an idea in your head, this is a good time to revaluate.
Get rid of stuff you don’t want. Move things out of the active space of your life, both physically and mentally unless you are actively using them i.e., keep one or two books out and the rest go on shelves, packed away or given away. It’s okay to take that online class off your to do list for now, and even to allow for the possibility that you never go back to it.
It’s okay if you never actually read every book you bought. Look at the books on your shelves as opportunities available to you and not required assignments.
Notice how and where you’ve fallen into the trap of creating responsibility and obligation and free yourself from it.
Time to reset.
There are core things you need to do, but we can bog ourselves down too easily with good intentions.
When you are holding on to stuff that you don’t want, and to ideas of who you are supposed to be that you don’t feel aligned with now, you are unnecessarily limiting yourself.
Healthy boundaries are good and that includes boundaries on what you require of yourself.
When you stay attached to relationships that aren’t healthy for you out of fear, insecurity, obligation, or the belief they can give you something you can’t get any other way, you are limiting your freedom and all you can be.
Your soul can always find another way. There is no revelatory experience that only comes along once. No other person holds the key to your self discovery. No material object intrinsically has power over you. You give it your power.
Embrace this opportunity to deeply nurture your aspirational self by letting go of stuff that doesn’t serve you, beliefs that limit you and trust that you can bring into your life who and what you need, when you’re ready.
