I like to talk about the lunar cycle as a continuing story, because each one connects to the next. So as we move into the full moon Sunday night, we continue this cycle of deep transformation.

By now you may be asking yourself, how much more do I have to release? How spiritually evolved do I really need to be, because this is wearing me out.
Jon Kabat-Zinn wrote, you can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.
For all of you emotionally surfing through this with me, we’re going to catch a break. I invite you to float through this full moon. In October we were invited to let go of what doesn’t work for us. November’s new moon asked us to be honest with ourselves about the source of our pain, and the Venus transits all month have challenged us to be honest about what matters most to us.
The transformational release we are getting now is the butterfly coming out of its chrysalis and beginning to fly. It’s about allowing ourselves to feel lighter, stronger and having a renewed faith in ourselves. Embrace it. Yes, there is still awful stuff in the world and you still have more work ahead, but seize this moment to lighten up.
Allow yourself to float on the faith that life has a way of working out. Let yourself try something new or to take a detached break from something that weighs on you. Notice when and how you may take yourself a bit too seriously and try easing up on yourself and others. On a deeper level, we are being asked to lighten up, because we often spend way too much energy on small stuff. We need to conserve our energy for the big stuff.
So give yourself a break. Be proud of yourself for having come as far as you have and take a minute to celebrate who you are, especially if you feel tempted to get frustrated over how far you think you have to go.
For this full moon, I invite you to call to mind an imagine of a butterfly. If it helps, do an image search of one and look at it. I want you to just take a minute, either with your eyes closed or while looking at your picture, and see yourself as the butterfly.
See yourself as a changed being. You are not the same person you were a week ago, a month ago, a year ago. Think of one way in which you have changed or one thing that you needed to let go of and you have let it go.
See yourself as the butterfly, touching lightly and moving on. Life is constant change and you have it within you to adapt, adjust and move on. Remember that.
Note: Full moon is exact on 30 November 2020 at 4:30am ET. Moon at 8 degrees of Gemini opposes the Sun in Sagittarius at 8 degrees. We are currently in a cycle for several months of the full moon happening at 8 degrees and the new moon at 23.
